La Cerdanya, with its numerous villages, is a hive of fiestas and cultural events. The most famous of these are the Medieval Fair in la Seu d’Urgell and the Lake Fair and Horse Fair in Puigcerdà, among many others.
There are numerous historical routes to follow, such as the “El Camí dels Bons Homes” which runs from the sanctuary in Queralt to Montsegur castle in France – ideal for discoving sites of old Cathar villages and tasting the local cuisine.
There are also numerous museums, old factories, Romanesque churches and hermitages, prehistoric monuments and historic villages to visit: a whole range of possibilities for a lifetime of discovery.
